Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), also known as "Indian ginseng," is an herb that grows mainly in India and has a long history of use in Far Eastern countries.

The most important phytochemically active substances of Ashwagandha are found in the root of the herb and are called withanolides, which possess adaptogenic properties*. The adaptogenic action of the herb is used in situations of exposure to chronic stress factors (physical or mental)* and in cases where optimal mental and cognitive performance is required*.

Lamberts® Ashwagandha Advance is a high-strength, standardized Ashwagandha root extract. All the herb used in Ashwagandha Advance is derived from the root, where withanolides are exclusively found. Thus, each tablet provides a guaranteed amount of 15mg withanolides, an amount equivalent to that used in the majority of clinical studies.

Additionally, vitamin C and zinc have been added, ingredients known to contribute to the normal function of the immune system*.
