It is one of the most worthwhile accessories for Insta360 cameras. Unfortunately, so far it is only compatible with the X5, X4 Air, Ace Pro 2, and it will probably be usable with the X6 in due course. Essentially, it is a small remote control with GPS and a microphone. It has a 1.72" LCD touchscreen, is small in size (48.7*41.6*15.8 mm), and weighs just 44.5 grams, which makes it feel close to a smartwatch when worn on the wrist. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for swimming.

The main functions are:
1. Live Preview, meaning a live preview of what you are filming with the camera, with a range limit of 100 m (tested at 60 m in a straight line without any problem). You can easily frame shots, start/stop recording, change recording settings, etc.
2. GPS, with built-in GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, it records route, speed, direction, altitude without any problem, which you can later add to your video through the app, and you can even apply different formats and effects. Note: always check before starting recording that the GPS signal has stabilized via the indicator on the screen.
3. Microphone. It is a high-quality microphone, somewhere between the Mic Air and Mic Pro, with a claimed range of 160 m (60-65 m tested without any problem), 2 levels of smart noise reduction, and 32-bit float recording.

It has a 950 mAh battery for up to 6 hours of use with Live Preview active or 7 hours as a microphone. It takes about one hour to fully charge. It allows control of multiple cameras. That is on paper.

Personal experience after 2 months: at 65 meters it worked flawlessly and without lag, both the live preview and the microphone. We also recorded audio to its internal memory and then imported it into the video without any problem. After one charge it was used for a total of 4 hours with live preview but not continuous recording. One session was one hour of continuous use and the rest were broken into 20-minute sessions. The battery had dropped to just above half. We had connected 4 cameras during the 3rd and 4th sessions, and as soon as we pressed start recording via the GPS remote preview, recording started instantly on all 4 cameras; the only negative was that it does not allow live preview or switching between camera previews once a 2nd or more camera is added. A positive was that we could change the wallpaper on the screen. Although it is not heavy for the wrist, as a lavalier microphone it does not like very loose clothing because it hangs down.

The package includes:
1. instructions,
2. the GPS preview remote,
3. wrist strap that attaches by snapping in, which... is not of very good quality, but for two months now it has not broken. Straps from regular watches fit; a week ago I wore it with a NATO strap from a Casio watch,
4. USB-C cable for charging
5. windscreen, a really good-quality dead cat-type wind muff that screws on,
6. clip mount for clothing and use as a lavalier mic, also attaches by snapping in,
7. 3 sizes of rubber bands so that someone can mount it on a selfie stick with sufficient security (not for sports and running).

The company's price is 185 euros and so far it has been discounted twice by -16%. Prices above that are not worth it.
