Description

Description

Content creators of all experience levels can enhance the production quality of their videos, interviews, and live streams with the DJI Mic 3 (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case), an easy-to-use, truly wireless digital microphone/recording system that delivers live audio quality while providing all the elements needed to capture audio from your subject to a DSLR/mirrorless camera or iOS/Android smartphone.

The system records clear and reliable audio at distances up to 400m via a tiny clip-on omnidirectional microphone/transmitter, which also functions as a backup recording device for hassle-free wireless connection. The miniature receiver can either be mounted on a DSLR camera or connected directly to the USB-C port of a smartphone or laptop. Simply complete the initial setup and you’ll be ready to record quality audio in seconds.

High-quality sound with flexibility for reproduction

The compact receiver connects to your camera via a 3.5mm TRS port and the included adapter cable. The provided USB-C adapter can connect the receiver to a compatible mobile device. It supports timecode input and output for improved synchronization of your video and audio.
The transmitter embeds timecode data into the internal recording files for an efficient post-production workflow. Dual file recording saves both the original track and the algorithmically enhanced version. The transmitter supports 32-bit float recording and Lossless Audio modes for greater control over your audio files.

Adaptive gain control

Switch between two different gain modes for adaptive control of your recording. The automatic mode prevents audio clipping and is especially useful when you expect loud interferences. The dynamic mode adjusts the gain according to changes in volume for consistency, which is ideal for more predictable settings.

Voice presets and two-level noise cancellation

Further customize your sound with three voice presets — normal, rich, and bright — depending on the tone you want to achieve. Two-level noise cancellation helps anticipate additional disturbances. Basic noise cancellation reduces low, humming sounds such as fans and air conditioning. Strong noise cancellation is designed for noisy environments, significantly reducing ambient noise.

Easy Control

A 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a control dial on the receiver allow you to adjust and view parameters such as gain, battery status, and mode. Use the DJI Mimo app to further adjust parameters and facilitate firmware updates on the system.

Flexible channel settings

Like typical wireless systems, the DJI Mic 3 receiver allows you to choose between mono and stereo recording modes. The new system surpasses its predecessor thanks to its ability to expand your audio ecosystem. In Quadraphonic mode, the receiver, in combination with selected Sony cameras and computer software, can produce four audio tracks for flexible mixing. It can also synchronize audio with seven additional receivers for an almost unlimited wireless array, useful in group interviews or multi-camera productions.

Dual-band wireless connection, Bluetooth connectivity

The DJI Mic 3 system supports dual-band wireless transmission between 2.4 and 5.8 GHz signals from a distance of up to 400m. Bluetooth 5.4 technology is also integrated into the system for connectivity with your mobile device. The transmitter unit can be connected directly to DJI Osmo 360 cameras, Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 4, or Osmo Action 3.

Long battery life

The internal batteries in the receiver and transmitter units keep the system running all day. Power-saving features in each component, such as automatic standby mode, auto power-off, and simultaneous use while charging your smartphone, help further extend battery life.

  • It's good but: If you use it at weddings, the magnet is not strong. At the first bit of pressure, the microphone will come off the clip. The Dji Mic 2 is better in this regard. On the mic2, the clip is integrated into the microphone and is not held by a magnet. Big mistake from Dji. If you want it for easier situations, it's ok. Also, it doesn't have an input for a lavalier mic. It doesn't have a USB port for charging. So if you buy it on its own, you will definitely need to get the cable for charging it. On the plus side, it is smaller compared to the Dji mic 2.
