A guide to hiking the Great Glen Way, one of Scotland's Great Trails. The 120 km (74 miles) route between Fort William and Inverness is suitable for those new to long-distance hiking and can be completed within a week.
The route is described in both directions over 6 stages from 12 to 31 km (8–19 miles), with options for lower and higher difficulty levels for the central stages. An alternative route along the northern shore of Loch Oich through Invergarry is also included.
