The book documents and analyzes the contribution of the clergy (Orthodox and Catholic) and the church in general to the struggles for freedom of the Greek nation and Greece against the Ottomans - Turks, throughout the entire period of approximately four centuries before 1821.

Specifically, from the 15th to the 18th century, beginning in 1453, when Constantinople fell to the Turks, and slightly earlier in 1404, when for nineteen years (1404-1423) the Cardicians managed to free Fanari with their uprising against the Ottomans, up to the Great Greek Revolution of 1821.

The participation, role, and contribution of the Greek church and clergy are studied, presented, and interpreted in eighty (80) revolutions, uprisings, and other movements against the Ottomans - Turks. Did they act? Did they react? What was their stance?
