Mountain tea, also known as Sideritis, is a popular herb in Mediterranean countries and especially loved during the winter months. It is a pure and natural product with thousands of beneficial properties for the human body. The name Sideritis was chosen in ancient times from the word iron, to emphasize its healing effects on wounds caused by iron weapons. Scientifically, 100 different species have been recorded, of which 17 grow only in Greece. It is heat-resistant and is found growing in mountainous, rocky areas of Greece.
