The crystal growing educational toy includes an impressive display case with alternating color lighting.

How it works: When the crystal compound is added to hot water, it dissolves into tiny particles. The liquid becomes a saturated solution, and as the water cools, some of it evaporates, causing the particles to join together again and form crystals with straight edges and flat surfaces.
