Pharmaplast Ultra eXsorb 15x15 cm is a non-woven dressing coated with a breathable, waterproof, virus-resistant, and sealing polyurethane layer that provides protection against bacteria and features a central absorbent pad.
The dressing is made from a blend of superabsorbent acrylic fibers and viscose fibers, thermally laminated onto a transparent PE mesh. It absorbs wound exudate to form a soft, hydrophilic, breathable gel layer that provides a moist environment to facilitate healing.
The frequency of dressing changes depends on the condition of the wound. In the case of wounds with necrotic tissue or heavy exudate, the dressing should be changed daily. For wounds with lower exudate, the dressing can remain in place for a longer period.
Precautions:
- Wounds showing signs of clinical infection may be dressed, but the dressing should be changed daily and the use of systemic antibiotic therapy should be considered.
- Do not use in case of known sensitivity to Pharmaplast Ultra eXsorb or any of its components.
