The Tianxia board game by Board & Dice is a strategy game for 1–4 players, set during the Warring States period in China. Players take on the role of leaders of noble families and seek to gain prestige and the favor of the rulers of the seven kingdoms.
The game lasts four rounds. Players place governors in the provinces, strengthen seats of power and sell goods to merchant ships, while training soldiers and building walls and towers to fend off nomadic warriors. Each round, the nomads approach the borders, and when they reach them, the battle affects all players. The winner is the player who excels as a governor, politician, merchant, and protector.
