I come from Buds FE, with which I was absolutely satisfied, but after 2 years of use I had a problem with the microphone (people couldn't hear me on the phone) and they had started to distort the sound.
So far the buds3 fe are good, but they have given me some concerns. First of all, in terms of sound, they are decent, they have quite good quality, so I am satisfied in that regard. Their microphone is also good, my callers tell me they hear me well and clearly (but that was also the case with the buds fe when I first got them... later on they started acting up... we’ll see how these will develop..). So they do the "basics" quite well, and so far I am satisfied both when listening to music or podcasts, and when talking on the phone. Plus, the transparency mode is very good, much better than the buds fe. The noise canceling I would say is just "good," nothing amazing, but definitely positive.
The negatives in my opinion are the following:
1) I liked the buds fe much more in terms of size and fit in the ear. Not that these don't fit well, but the buds fe fit better (fit is always subjective, since we all have different ears).
2) They have a stem, which is probably very good for the microphone, but I don't like how it looks, and it also makes the controls a bit more awkward in my opinion. With these you have to "press" the stem, as if there is a button, when in reality there isn't. The buds fe had a touch surface, and you could more easily tap, double tap, etc. It's not that the pinch you have to do on the buds3 fe doesn't work, but sometimes it doesn't register well, especially on pinch and hold to activate/deactivate noise canceling. It's not a huge negative, and if that's the price for having the microphone in a better position so people can (finally) hear me on the phone, so be it.
3) I have a Samsung phone and the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 (activity tracker), which has a screen that shows its battery, the phone's battery, and until recently also showed the battery of the buds fe. Now with the buds3 fe it stopped showing the earbuds' battery, while the phone still shows their battery normally in the widget and on the AOD. I don't consider this a negative of the earbuds, but of Samsung, which obviously broke something in its software and we have to wait for an update (if it ever comes)...
4) Another small detail is that the case has a light, like the old buds fe, but it doesn't work the same way. On the buds fe, when you opened and closed the case (either to take the earbuds out or put them back in), the light would turn on: if the case had a lot of battery it was green, if it had a bit less it was yellow, if it was running out it was red, and if it was almost empty it was a blinking red. The new buds3 fe is always red. I don't understand why they removed this feature, because when you charge them fully the green light comes on, but as soon as you disconnect them from the charger it will only light up red... It's not absolutely necessary, but it's these little details that give you the feeling of a downgrade, not so much an upgrade...
TLDR: Functionally they are good. I am satisfied, just not overly excited.

Samsung fixed negative 3).
I still can't say I'm excited, to be honest. They don't fit my ears that well, they're a bit more uncomfortable and don't make such a good seal. Also, (just like with the Buds FE), when you wear only one earbud, it can only be in normal mode (it can't be in transparency or noise canceling). The problem with this is that in normal mode the sound is very "thin", it has absolutely no bass at all. As soon as you put in the second earbud, you can hear the preset change and the sound becomes "normal". With only one earbud, to be honest, the sound quality is not good at all.
Προέρχομαι απο Buds FE, απο τα οποία είχα μείνει απολύτως ικανοποιημένος, αλλά μετά απο 2 χρόνια χρήσης είχα πρόβλημα με το μικρόφωνο (δεν με ακούγανε στο τηλέφωνο) και είχαν αρχίσει να παραμορφώνουν στον ήχο..
Μέχρι στιγμής τα buds3 fe είναι καλά, αλλά με έχουν προβληματίσει λίγο. Καταρχήν σε θέμα ήχου είναι τίμια, έχουν αρκετά καλή ποιότητα, οπότε απο αυτό το θέμα είμαι ευχαριστημένος. Το μικρόφωνό τους είναι και αυτό καλό, μου λένε οι συνομιλητές μου οτι με ακούν καλά και καθαρά (αλλά έτσι συνέβαινε και με τα buds fe όταν τα είχα πρωτοπάρει... πιο μετά άρχισαν και κάνουν "νερά".. θα δείξει πως θα εξελιχθούν αυτά..) Οπότε τα "βασικά" τα κάνουν αρκετά καλά, και μέχρι στιγμής είμαι ικανοποιημένος και όταν ακούω μουσική η podcasts, και όταν μιλάω στο τηλέφωνο. Συν οτι το transparency mode είναι πολύ καλό, πολύ καλύτερο απο τα buds fe. Το noise canceling θα πω οτι είναι απλά "καλό", όχι τίποτα φοβερό, αλλά σίγουρα θετικό.
Τα αρνητικά που έχουν κατα την γνώμη μου είναι τα εξής:
1) τα buds fe μου άρεσαν πολύ περισσότερο και σαν μέγεθος, και σαν εφαρμογή στο αυτί. Όχι οτι αυτά δεν εφαρμόζουν καλά, αλλά τα buds fe εφάρμοζαν καλύτερα (το fit είναι υποκειμενικό πάντα, μιας και όλοι μας έχουμε διαφορετικά αφτιά).
2) έχουν stem, το οποίο μάλλον είναι πολύ καλό για το μικρόφωνο, αλλά δεν μου αρέσει τόσο στο πως φαίνονται, αλλά και κάνει τα controls λίγο πιο άβολα κατα την γνώμη μου. Σε αυτά πρέπει να "πιέσεις" το stem, λες και υπάρχει κουμπί, ενώ στην πραγματικότητα δεν υπάρχει. Τα buds fe είχαν touch επιφάνεια, και μπορούσες πιο εύκολα να κάνεις tap, double tap κλπ. Δεν είναι οτι δεν δουλεύει και το pinch που πρέπει να κάνεις στα buds3 fe, αλλά μερικές φορές δεν "πιάνει" καλά, ειδικά σε pinch and hold για να ενεργοποιήσεις/απενεργοποιήσεις το noise canceling. Δεν είναι κάτι φοβερά αρνητικό, και αν αυτό είναι το τίμημα για να είναι το μικρόφωνό τους σε καλύτερη θέση και να με ακούνε (επιτέλους) στο τηλέφωνο, χαλάλι.
3) Έχω κινητό samsung και το samsung galaxy fit3 (activity tracker), το οποίο έχει οθόνη που δείχνει την μπαταρία του, την μπαταρία του κινητού, και μέχρι πρόσφατα έδειχνε και την μπαταρία των buds fe. Τώρα με τα buds3 fe σταμάτησε να δείχνει την μπαταρία των ακουστικών, ενώ το κινητό δείχνει κανονικά την μπαταρία τους στο widget και στο AOD. Δεν θεωρώ οτι είναι αρνητικό των ακουστικών αυτό, αλλά της samsung που προφανώς κάτι χάλασε στο software της και πρέπει να περιμένουμε update (και αν)....
4) Άλλη μικρολεπτομέρια, είναι οτι η θήκη έχει λαμπάκι, όπως και των παλιών buds fe, αλλά δεν λειτουργεί με τον ίδιο τρόπο. Στα buds fe, όταν άνοιγες την θήκη και την έκλεινες (είτε για να πάρεις τα ακουστικά απο μέσα, είτε για να τα βάλεις πάλι πίσω) άναβε το λαμπάκι και αν η θήκη είχε πολύ μπαταρία ήταν πράσινο, αν είχε λιγο λιγότερο ήταν κίτρινο, αν τελείωνε είχε κόκκινο και αν δεν είχε σχεδον καθόλου είχε κόκκινο που αναβοσβήνει. Των καινούριων buds3 fe είναι πάντα κόκκινο. Δεν καταλαβαίνω γιατί να το αφαιρέσουν αυτό το feature, γιατί όταν τα φορτίσεις τελείως ανάβει το πράσινο λαμπάκι, αλλά με το που τα αποσυνδέσεις απο τον φορτιστή θα ανάβει μόνο κόκκινο... Δεν είναι κάτι τελείως απαραίτητο, αλλά είναι κάτι τέτοιες μικρολεπτομέρειες που σου δινουν την αίσθηση του downgrade, και όχι τόσο του upgrade...
TLDR: λειτουργικά είναι καλά. Ευχαριστημένος είμαι, απλά όχι φοβερά ενθουσιασμένος.

Η Samsung έφτιαξε το αρνητικό 3).
Συνεχίζω να μην είμαι ενθουσιασμένος να πω την αλήθεια. Δεν έχουν τόσο καλό fit στα δικά μου αφτιά, είναι λίγο πιο άβολα και δεν κάνουν τόσο καλό seal. Επίσεις, (όπως και με τα buds fe), όταν φοράς μόνο το 1 ακουστικό, μπορεί να είναι μόνο σε normal mode (δεν μπορεί να είναι σε transparency ή noise canceling). Το πρόβλημα με αυτό είναι οτι στο Normal mode ο ήχος τους είναι πολύ "λεπτός", δεν έχει καθόλου μα καθόλου μπάσο. Με το που βάζεις το 2ο ακουστικό τα ακούς να αλλάζουν το preset και να γίνεται "φυσιολογικός" ο ήχος. Με το ένα ακουστικό μόνο δεν έχουν καθόλου καλό ήχο να πω την αλήθεια..
