The poncho is designed to comply with road safety guidelines that prohibit the use of jackets and excessive bulk for the proper tightening of the safety belt. By lifting it, the use of the safety belts is facilitated, allowing their correct adjustment close to the baby's body.

It features a hood to keep the baby's head warm, while the buttons under the armpits make it easier to create sleeves.
