Coming from mid-range phones, mainly Samsung, I decided to make the switch to iOS and specifically to the iPhone 17 Pro. The main reasons for this change were the camera and the quality of photos/videos, as I travel a lot and the mediocre photos from mid-range phones were always something that bothered me.

I don't play games and generally my usage is relatively simple: camera, YouTube, apps, and daily use.

On the positive side, the camera is truly amazing. Both portrait photos and videos are at a very high level. Also, I am satisfied with the battery, even though I have data on almost all day. Additionally, some Apple features are quite interesting and practical, such as Face ID, which works flawlessly even in low light.

On the negative side, I think that what the phone offers is not entirely worthy of its very high price. The large price difference, in my opinion, is not accompanied by equally huge differences compared to a phone that costs half as much.

After about a month of use, I have also noticed some practical issues. When someone calls you while a video or movie is playing at medium or low volume, for about a second before the call rings, there is a sudden and unjustified increase in the video’s sound volume. Immediately after, the ringtone is heard.

Also, I would like to point out for future buyers of the iPhone 17 Pro that the keyboard seems somewhat small for medium and larger fingers. Sometimes, wrong letters are pressed due to the size. Additionally, I have noticed that the touch response is not always perfect and sometimes you need to press again for it to work properly.

Overall, it is definitely a premium phone, with an excellent camera, very good video, and strong daily performance. However, as a simple user, I believe it does not fully justify its price. It is a very good phone, but not necessarily that much better as the price difference from a good mid-range phone would suggest.

Marginal downgrade compared to the 13 Pro. Even Siri, which was already useless, at least used to hear me when I shouted from afar or was looking for my phone. That was really the only good use of "Hey Siri, where are you" - "I'm right here" and I could find my phone at home when I was in a hurry. Now, even for that, it's useless – it doesn't even answer me. Imagine having such a useless assistant that its only use is to answer you so you can find your device, and now it's useless even for that.

The photos might be better in terms of functionality. More features.

The fast-access button for photos is dysfunctional. Fully functional but if you actually use it to change a setting, it's better to do it by hand. It's very rare that it will improve your photography experience for changing settings, and I think you'll rarely use it that way.

Aesthetically, it's an upgrade, I really like it as a phone externally.

"Apple Intelligence" my a*s. It continues to have the worst Assistant on the market and in my opinion it has become even worse. No, sorry, not the "worst", it's just useless. The worst would imply it has some use. Even the things it's "useful" for, it does wrong or does something completely different.

Apple not only doesn't innovate with its iPhone products, but every time it offers a supposed Upgrade without really upgrading anything. They're selling hot air. The only reason I keep buying it is because of the "ecosystem" that makes it easy for me to communicate with others even from my laptop through iMessage, the "just works" logic & facetime & because they really do make beautiful products.

Coming from Android, I decided to splurge once and get a phone that would last for years, receive frequent updates without worrying about security gaps, and have a decent camera. With these criteria, I went for the iPhone and I have to say that the phone exceeded my expectations. It has nothing to do with the phone I had before; the operating system has exactly what I need, with things much more simplified than on Android. The AI in photos also helps a lot with editing pictures, Siri is also helpful, and even Face ID works in complete darkness compared to my old phone where I had to be in a well-lit place and directly in front of it for it to work. With the iPhone, I can even be at a weird angle and it will still unlock. The battery easily lasts a day with moderate use. The operating system is very fast, notifications come in normally even if you don't have the app open, which was a must for me, for example with Viber messages which I mainly use for work, but also outside of work if something urgent comes up, the message comes through normally compared to regular Androids. Honestly, I was an Android fan for years but I really don't think I'll switch phones again, and if I do, it will be in a few years when the iPhone 24 comes out because I generally don't change phones often. As for durability, I haven't tested it in extreme situations because I take great care of it, from cases to screen protectors—you might say it already has the best glass on the market, but okay, it's my first time with a flagship phone so I take extra care of it. In any case, it's totally worth it for someone who wants to switch; the transition isn't as bad as some people made it out to be. Maybe a little with the keyboard, but that's it. Everything else is much more simplified.

I have owned it since November 2025. I should mention that I upgraded from the 15 Pro, and I will make a typical comparison between them.
Design: Always objective, I had the 15 Pro in natural titanium, the best quality Apple had ever released. I miss it. 17 Pro, the build quality has dropped. To avoid misunderstanding, I’m not saying it’s bad, but it’s a notch below the 15. The aluminum is high quality, I’ve dropped it twice from half a meter, nothing happened. I’ll give it a plus for that. I should note, I never use a case. The back design, there was a lot of fuss about it too. Personally, I like it. It’s something different and nice in my opinion. I really like the color. I wanted to take a risk with orange, I would even go now to try it, I would dare. Glass front and back, indeed very durable, after so many months of use (without a case or screen protector) there isn’t a single scratch anywhere. Neither on the back nor the front.
Screen: Excellent, same recipe the company uses in its latest phones. Even brighter and fully, a welcome upgrade. But, I want summer to come so I can fully utilize it. Colors, etc., all perfect.
Speed: The fastest phone you’ll ever get your hands on. No lag, no delay. The positive thing here, and what I want to highlight, because objectively the speed from the 15 I switched from doesn’t feel faster, is the temperature. Here, yes, I saw a change. The 15 would get hot, especially on hot days or when I pushed it. Here, with app downloads, cameras, etc., it only gets lukewarm. The cooling has been properly upgraded. But, to be objective here too, I’m waiting for summer, when the real test for temperature will come, and if it really holds up at the beach without automatically lowering the brightness. We’ll see.
Cameras? From the 15? Only the zoom is different. Let me be clear. Everything else is the same and familiar. Bad? No. The 0.5 is improved at 48MP. All at 48MP are satisfactory. The video is by far the best available on a phone right now. The selfie camera has really improved, and that’s very positive. It needed an upgrade and it’s very good.
Battery: Finally, I saw an improvement. Up to the 15 I had, many times it was hard to get through the day with heavy use. On the 17, with the same use, I can easily get through the day and charge it the next day. Fast charging and it doesn’t heat up. Very satisfied overall.
Software - Extras: Speakers, no issues, very satisfactory as are the device’s microphones. Connections (wifi - bluetooth, etc.) no issues, everything works correctly and smoothly. In the software, we have a small issue. While there are nice changes and appearance, they brought a lot of silly bugs and lag to the forefront. Small, but present. It gets updates, and the above have now disappeared as I write, but for a €1,300 device, they’re not justified.
Conclusions: Is it worth it? Yes, for someone coming from the 14, I’d say. Do I regret changing from the 15? No, I have the habit of changing every 2 models. Did I see changes? Not huge ones. Is it worth it from the 16? Definitely not. From Android? Depends on which one you have, and if you want the change. In summary, it’s a strong and good device that will definitely satisfy the above users. The price is high, and the changes from previous models are minor.

After using the iPhone 17 Pro in Cosmic Orange for quite some time, I can confidently say that it is one of the most complete and high-quality devices I have ever held in my hands. It combines the simplicity that an everyday user wants with the details that a more demanding and discerning user appreciates.
The build quality is, as always with Apple, top-notch. The device exudes sturdiness, the finish is flawless, and the Cosmic Orange is truly impressive without being flashy—it stands out, but with elegance. The screen is excellent: bright, easy on the eyes, with perfect responsiveness and colors that look natural and not overdone.
The performance is simply exemplary. Whatever you ask of it, from simple daily use to demanding applications and multitasking, it handles everything silently, quickly, and without the slightest lag. iOS 26 remains a major advantage: stable, well-designed, without freezing, and with great longevity.
Special attention should also be given to the camera, which performs excellently both in photos and videos. The results are clear, with proper dynamic range and very good low-light performance, with minimal processing.
The battery easily lasts well over a day of heavy use, which in practice makes a difference, while the overall user experience shows that the phone is designed to last for many years.
Small negatives (more like observations):
The price remains high, which is expected for an Apple flagship device, but it is still a factor.
The Cosmic Orange color, as beautiful as it is, shows fingerprints more easily, so a case or frequent cleaning is necessary.
Conclusion:
The iPhone 17 Pro is a device that does not try to impress with fanfare, but succeeds with substance. Reliable, powerful, well-made, and with attention to detail. If you are looking for a phone that "just works" but also satisfies even the most demanding user, it is the best choice.

There are no words for this particular device... what can I say, I am completely satisfied. I was planning to go for the Max again this year, but I found the Pro available and I can't deny I had my doubts, but it proved me wrong on all counts! The 6.3 inches are absolutely ideal for the hand, its battery literally performs at the same level as the 16 Pro Max (it gives exactly what Apple claims, 33hr video, check the comparison on the site and you'll see) and it easily lasts the whole day without tiring. The cameras this year, the whole trio, are at 48mp, which have been perfected, and especially the zoom is even more amazing! The video is simply crystal clear, especially at 120FPS, which is purely cinematic, and with the addition of dual recording, you can shoot video simultaneously with both the front and rear cameras. The same goes for the front-facing camera, which got a very good upgrade to 18mp, and now you also have the Center Stage feature that we see on iPads and Macs. Its speakers are the absolute best this year, with Dolby Atmos giving its all; it's like having a portable speaker with you, and that's why it deserves to be called Pro, and truly Pro in every aspect. Also, the Cosmic Orange color, about which I also had my reservations, is simply wonderful—it might actually be the new black! Who knows? Anyway, I matched it perfectly with the green Techwoven case, which suits it perfectly! The price in general this year should have been at lower levels, but what can you do, it's Apple, and more specifically the E.U., but btw... I highly recommend it, and even for an upgrade from the 16PM it's totally worth it, but generally yes, the standard for a sure upgrade is for those coming from the 13 series and below and are considering it—go ahead without hesitation and you will be rewarded, and I include Android users as well... From iPhone 13 to 17 Pro

Coming from the iPhone 13, I didn’t expect such a big difference, but the 17 Pro is truly on another level. The single-piece aluminum unibody replaces titanium with a sturdier and more solid feel in the hand, while the Deep Blue looks elegant and stable, without changing shades in the light.

Many consider the switch from titanium to aluminum a step back, but in practice it’s a smart evolution. The unibody aluminum dissipates heat much better, resulting in the phone running cooler and more stable, especially during heavy use or fast charging. At the same time, it makes the device lighter and more resistant to bending, without losing quality.

The screen is brighter, the cameras are impressive with top-notch detail, the battery lasts longer, and the A19 Pro chip makes everything lightning fast. If you’re looking for a complete upgrade, the 17 Pro does not disappoint.

I had also considered the iPhone 17, which has improved significantly this year, or the iPhone Air, which is a new, interesting model. But in the end, the Pro is the right choice. With 12GB RAM, it’s more “ready” for the AI capabilities that are coming, while retaining the three cameras and the best battery life. The price difference with the Air doesn’t justify the sacrifices you have to make — the Pro is more complete, more future-proof, and definitely a more “substantial” purchase.

The iPhone 17 Pro (as well as the Max) is one of the most complete iPhones ever released. There are several reasons: 1) Vapor chamber cooling system, which, combined with the efficient A19 Pro SoC and top-notch optimization at the app and OS level offered by iOS, provides better heat management than all competitors in its category (even better than the Xiaomi 17 Pro) and approaches the levels of gaming phones like the Asus Rog Phone and Nubia Red Magic. The aluminum frame also helps. So for those who play heavy games on their phone like Genshin, COD, Assassin's Creed, etc., you get high performance that lasts without FPS drops after a while (just because it's a new phone, as is iOS26 which just arrived, some apps don't have ideal optimization yet, but this will be fixed soon). It also has one of the biggest differences in graphics compared to the base model (+20%) that has ever existed in an iPhone generation. Additionally, there is a massive increase in graphics performance compared to the 16 Pro, where if you look at the GPU benchmark on Geekbench, the difference between the 17 Pro and the 16 Pro in score numbers is similar to that of the 16 Pro compared to the 13 Pro! 2) 12GB RAM, which I consider the minimum acceptable for a device costing four figures in 2025 (a foul for the 16/15 Pro which only had 8). It offers better performance in heavy apps and better future-proofing with upcoming iOS/apps and AI use. Speaking of AI, we have AI accelerators on the graphics unit of the A19 Pro, which dramatically increases AI functions on the device (but Apple still doesn't take advantage of them, something that will change later). Also, the speed of the RAM (and the storage) has increased compared to the 16 Pro. 3) Increased battery capacity with the 17 Pro rivaling Android flagships with 5000mAh batteries (S25 Ultra) and the Pro Max rivaling the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with a 7000mAh battery. 4) Better signal with a new design and stronger antenna. 5) All rear cameras are 48MP with a new telephoto lens. The best video on a phone right now and with ProRes RAW recording capability that wasn't available on older models (but requires an external storage unit). New selfie camera of excellent quality with a square sensor that allows selfies without rotating the phone (also available on the base 17). 6) Screen with 3000 nits brightness, which is very important for use under strong sunlight (better cooling also plays a role here). It also uses Samsung's new M14 panel, while the S25 has an older generation (this will change with the S26) and has higher PWM dimming, which matters for more comfortable use for the eyes. This panel is also on the 17. 7) Ceramic Shield 2 glass in front, which for the first time scratches at level 7 with deeper grooves at level 8 instead of scratches at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7 (for the enthusiasts :P). The most scratch-resistant glass on a phone right now. 8) USB type C 3.2 gen 2 for high transfer speeds and 40 watt fast charging as well as faster wireless charging (fast charging was an area where Apple has always lagged behind).

However, it also has some negatives (they are more like quirks, but we are talking about a €1300 device): 1) The aluminum frame is prone to scratches, especially at the corners of the camera bump where the design is not quite right, so a case is absolutely necessary. 2) The main camera has exactly the same Sony IMX903 sensor as last year (it takes slightly better photos though due to the improved image signal processor of the A19 Pro). Although better than the 200MP sensor of the rival Samsung (which is also the same as in the S23), the Chinese manufacturer with brand new 1-inch sensors is starting to pull ahead. 3) The 256GB version has slower storage speeds compared to the Air 256GB and the larger memory versions of the Pro. Negligible difference in real use (and still, the 256GB version of the 17 Pro beats all versions of the 16 Pro in storage speed) but as we said, it is an expensive device. 4) Absence of the faster 5G mmWave in the European version: although unnecessary for us at the moment, it will come here at some point in the future. 5) Its design is somewhat more unique and may not appeal to everyone.

Overall, for anyone who knows why they want it, the higher price compared to the 17 is worth it and it covers many gaps that Apple had in recent years at the hardware level compared to Android devices.

I recently bought the iPhone 17 Pro, having previously owned the iPhone 16 Pro, and I want to share my opinion.

The screen is clearly brighter, which is immediately noticeable especially outdoors. In terms of performance, I didn't notice any substantial difference; both are extremely fast and smooth in use.

I really like the appearance, especially in the orange color I chose – it's a personal preference, but it looks very beautiful and stands out.

In the first few days of use, when it was updating and restoring data, the device was a bit warm, which is absolutely normal.

The camera has noticeably improved: photos are clearer and brighter, night shots are very good, while the front camera takes more natural and balanced selfies. The video is also excellent – very clear, with stable image and vivid colors.

As for the battery, in the first days I've had it, it seems a bit better than the 16 Pro. I didn't see a big difference, but it easily lasts me one to one and a half days of normal use.

Overall, compared to the 16 Pro, there aren't huge changes to say that the upgrade is definitely worth it; however, the iPhone 17 Pro remains an excellent, powerful, and top-quality phone that is hard to disappoint you

The iPhone 17 and 17 Pro are almost identical in performance — same dimensions, same screen, and similar chip.

The only significant difference is the camera. The iPhone 17 has a dual camera, basic wide and ultra-wide, while the 17 Pro adds a third telephoto camera with periscope zoom. This means much better performance in zoom photos and clearer shots in portraits or distant scenes. If you’re not really into photography, you might not care, but if you shoot often, it makes a difference. The Pro also has the A19 Pro, which I admit is quite powerful, but the average user won’t notice any difference when switching between Instagram and TikTok.

As for the battery, the 17 Pro lasts slightly longer — its ProMotion screen (120Hz) consumes a bit more, so in practice it gives you about half an hour (maybe 1 hour at best) more than the regular one. The difference is negligible for me. Everything else — screen, performance, charging, build quality — is the same, with the Pro having the Titanium frame, which just makes it feel more premium in hand.

Overall: the iPhone 17 is the most “logical” choice for most people. The 17 Pro is worth it only if you want the extra camera, and I don’t know if it justifies the €370+ difference.

Overall, a good purchase.

It was given to me by the company I work for. (As a corporate phone). So, I own a 14 Pro. I will mainly compare it to that... you know the usual things... new design (some like it, some don't), flawless iOS operating system, etc.

+ On the positive side: 1) excellent battery life, 2) night and zoom camera is on a whole different level!! (During the day, the differences are smaller), brighter screen which is already great on the 14 Pro, 4) in terms of speed in daily use, there are minimal differences, in games you will see they load faster (eFootball 26 which I play a lot), 5) 12GB mainly for AI (of course it also helps with open apps, although I had no issues on the 14).
- On the negative side: for me, the weight, it's still somewhat heavy, limited color options, minor lags with the camera but with future updates it will improve.

P.S. Overall, an amazing flagship for yet another year!!
For me, it's worth getting if, for example, you have a 12 Pro or a 13, you will definitely see many differences... With the 14 Pro in daily use, I am extremely satisfied with everything!! Unless you are one of those who wants the new model every year...
