Description

Whether at home or on the go, with or without a photovoltaic system: the Fronius Wattpilot charges your customers' electric cars with more flexibility and intelligence than ever before.

Charge using your own solar energy

This electric car charger can automatically switch between 1 and 3 phases and adjust its output in 1 amp steps. This allows it to make the most of surplus photovoltaic energy from 1.38 kW to 22 kW and use the excess energy from your photovoltaic system to charge your vehicle in a sustainable way and almost at no cost.*

Your advantages: you save while charging and make the most of your photovoltaic system, so you can recoup your investment faster.

* Additional components are required for photovoltaic-optimized charging. All details can be found in the user manual.

Two charging methods for flexible electric mobility

Charge your vehicle according to your needs. The Fronius Wattpilot offers two charging modes, which can be selected directly on the electric car charger or via the Fronius Solar.wattpilot app:

Eco Function

The preferred mode for owners of photovoltaic systems. It ensures that your vehicle is charged—whenever available—with self-generated solar energy or with the cheapest electricity from the grid.

Next Trip Function

The Next Trip function is for those who want to reliably charge their electric car to cover a specific route – a certain number of kilometers – within a specific time. The Fronius Wattpilot reliably and intelligently charges the required amount. If available, surplus photovoltaic energy from your own photovoltaic system or the cheapest grid electricity is used.

Optimal power distribution – with dynamic load balancing

With dynamic load balancing, the amount of self-generated solar energy available from your customer's photovoltaic system, as well as the maximum household load connected to the grid, are used in the optimal way: your customers can charge up to three electric cars simultaneously and in an energy-optimized manner with a single system.

The energy produced by the photovoltaic system, as well as the household consumption, are taken into account. This not only saves high connection costs, but also effectively prevents load peaks. The required energy can be precisely controlled and, therefore, dynamically distributed among the vehicles being charged.

Solar.wattpilot – the app for the charger

Flexible just like the charging solution itself – your customers can easily control the Fronius Wattpilot from their smartphones or tablets:

  • Easy commissioning of the Fronius Wattpilot
  • Clear display of all charging data
  • Choice of charging mode at any time, anywhere
  • Change settings with just one click
  • Easy software updates
