The amaryllis is a bulbous spring planting plant that can reach a height of 50cm. Each package contains one bulb.

Planting requires suitable soil, which should consist of equal parts fertile clay garden soil, peat, and perlite or sand. Plant the bulb in the soil so that one third of the bulb's height is above the soil. After planting, water the soil well and place the pot in a warm and sunny location.

Bulbs should remain in their container for 6 to 12 weeks before the desired flowering date. They can be planted in the garden or in pots and window boxes. For pot planting, pumice at the bottom is required to facilitate drainage.
