Powerful suction for every challenge
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 features a 10000Pa powerful suction fan blower, ideal for removing dust, crumbs, and hair from any type of floor. This function is combined with Multidimensional Hair Anti-Tangle Technology, so even the most stubborn hairs or pet fur are absorbed without tangled spots, saving time and protecting the brushes. Even large homes are cleaned quickly thanks to multiple power modes (Silent, Standard, Strong, Turbo).
Long-lasting autonomy and user comfort
With a 5200mAh battery, the S40 can clean for up to 180 minutes without intermediate charging. This means it can handle large homes in a single cleaning session, while the automatic return to the charging base ensures you never run out of power during cleaning. Additionally, the Xiaomi Home app allows you to start or schedule cleaning from wherever you are.
Effective mopping on every surface
The combined vacuuming & mopping function with three levels of water flow offers precision cleaning. Adjustment via the Xiaomi Home app ensures even moisture on the mopping cloth, while the smart electronic water control adapts the flow according to the needs of each surface, effectively removing stains and dirt.
Intelligent LDS Navigation
With the LDS laser navigation system, the S40 maps your home with 360° 3D imaging and can store multiple floors. The precise environment recognition ensures fewer missed spots and avoids navigation errors. The automatic route planning ensures complete coverage and fast cleaning, even in complex spaces.
Adaptation for every room and carpet
With the Xiaomi Home app, you can set custom settings for rooms and carpets, as well as areas you want the robot vacuum to avoid. In addition, there are four modes for carpets: full cleaning, carpet ignoring, cleaning with crossing, and carpet avoidance. This way, you have complete control for precision cleaning without having to get involved.
Safety and ease of use
The S40 features multiple sensors for obstacle avoidance and fall protection. It can cross obstacles up to 20mm and automatically returns to the charging base when the battery runs out. Operation via app or voice commands (Alexa/Google Assistant) makes its use a breeze, while the child lock function ensures safety at home.
Design and ergonomics
The minimalist white design of the S40 suits any home, while its compact construction allows for easy placement and storage. The main and side brush work perfectly together with the V-shaped and comb-teeth design, ensuring cleanliness without tangled hairs, even in apartment buildings or busy areas.
Intelligent control via the app
With the Xiaomi Home App, you have full real-time control. You can view cleaning history, schedule cleaning times, set no-go zones, and adjust power and water levels. OTA updates keep your robot vacuum always up to date, while voice control makes cleaning truly hands-free.

What do users say?
AI-generated summary
Users are generally very satisfied, especially with the effective pickup of dust and hair and the accurate laser mapping. The app makes it easy to schedule cleanings and target specific rooms, saving time on daily upkeep—even in homes with pets.
Even the most expensive robotic vacuum cleaner today cannot replace a human, so this particular purchase is a very good value for money, based on what I saw in practice...
GOLDEN TIP: Do a traditional good vacuuming and mopping and for a whole month, let the xiaomi s40 MAINTAIN what you have already done and vacuum for you‼️
It avoids obstacles and does a good job. I have it at the tutoring center, where I don’t have carpets or anything like that, so I can’t speak to other situations.
Update: It has an incredible connection problem. It won’t connect to my phone, and I’ve tried every alternative. Unfortunately, if it doesn’t connect, it’s almost useless or limited to simple vacuuming. A month ago I reset it and it worked normally. The next day it wouldn’t connect again, and now it doesn’t work even after a reset
It’s a very good vacuum cleaner; it maps the space in the house, you choose which rooms it will go to, and you can send it again if you want... via the app, and overall I’m very happy with it... but only for the summer, because it doesn’t do very well with the carpets...
I've had it for three months and I'm completely satisfied. It picks up a lot of dust, and now that we've laid down carpets, it can climb onto them too—with a little difficulty, admittedly—but it goes back and forth and does a great job! The cleaning time has increased a little with the carpets, but that's understandable since it has to work harder
I don’t know how we managed before we got it! It’s truly a lifesaver! It cleans every day and has saved us a lot of time and effort vacuuming. The laser mapping is extremely useful, and its suction power is very satisfying. The house now stays cleaner without us having to vacuum all the time. One of those purchases that truly makes a difference in a family’s daily life! I highly recommend it!
It’s FANTASTIC. It picks up everything and mops with plain water. It has many features and you control it from the app.
The only reason someone wouldn’t buy it is if their network is 5G and not 2.4G, as the app doesn’t support 5G.
For its price (~€130), it's very good, but it has a few minor difficulties.
- If I don't set it to strong, it doesn't clean perfectly between the tiles. Which is okay—you set it to strong, and it's not a problem.
- It doesn't climb small "steps" 1.5 centimeters high abruptly.
I haven't tried it on carpets; if there's anything noteworthy, I'll follow up.
Although I’ve only had it for 3 to 4 months, it seems to be working fine and has good suction. I don’t use it for mopping, as using liquid cleaner is not allowed. However, lately I’ve been experiencing a problem, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars.
I’ve changed my Wi-Fi and now have 5G, and although I used the app normally before, ever since switching to 5G, it no longer lets me use it. The truth is, the app is very convenient, and requiring a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection is a very limiting factor. If I’d known about this restriction from the start, I would have chosen a different model.
We got one a little skeptical and almost reluctantly.
Six months later, we have three!
We use them on three floors, only as vacuum cleaners,
and it's incredible how thorough the cleaning they do is.
We've even given them three different Chinese names, and all is well; they work without any problems 2–3 times a week.
Be careful with cables and thin cloths on the floor, because it will get stuck and stop, but your Chinese lady immediately sends you a message on your phone to untangle her!
As a vacuum cleaner, it's tremendous, very powerful, it does everything it says. The only problem is what it says about the laser sensor being dirty, which is in their system. I sent it back and got my money back. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work again. If it doesn't show you something like that, the sensor is all fine; if it does, the vacuum is useless
A very effective product and an excellent choice for its price category. It offers very good value for money, with reliable performance and easy, practical everyday use. Its operation is simple and user-friendly, without requiring any special familiarity. It is especially helpful for homes with pets, as it significantly makes it easier to maintain cleanliness on a daily basis. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it without hesitation.
Very useful if you learn how to operate it with the app.
It is necessary to have internet at home, otherwise it disconnects and the mapping has to be done again from the beginning.
It has many vacuuming options, from simple to turbo (very strong "suction"), while the app makes it easy to choose even a specific room to clean.
For daily use it is perfect, especially in a home with pets.
My wife, who is crazy and obsessed with cleanliness, hasn’t had to vacuum manually with the regular vacuum since September 2025!! That says it all! For mopping, pour bleach or whatever else you use onto the cloth underneath and it will do a great job.
It really made my life so much easier. With the dog in the house there are constantly hairs everywhere, and now my home is clean. Very good mapping and excellent cleaning. I haven't tried the mopping, although I think it will just smear water over the floor
very reliable and useful tool, for more frequent cleaning of the house. it responds to commands and has done a very good mapping.
for mopping it is not that reliable. i would choose a model with the circular rotating brushes.
Well, I didn’t expect it to do such a good job. I put it on turbo every night to vacuum and mop. Well, it doesn’t exactly mop, but that little bit of water it leaves behind picks up even the last bit of dust. I only do a deep clean once in a while now, and every day I do maintenance with this vacuum. I move as many small pieces of furniture as I can to make it easier for it. In a house with 3 children, we can walk around barefoot without feeling little bits of dirt sticking to our feet. That alone says a lot to me, and for the money it’s the best purchase I’ve made this year!!
As for vacuuming, it does a good job for appearances' sake (or for what the mother-in-law sees!). However, when it comes to mopping, it falls significantly short. It doesn't clean deeply; it just gives a quick freshening up.
It is very good, it picks up hair and dust very well, the mapping works very well, it just has one negative: if there are low objects it doesn't see them, like the legs of an ironing board or certain pieces of furniture, so it bumps into them for 1-2 minutes until it goes around them
After a week of use, I can say that I am quite satisfied! It cleans and mops perfectly, and having a cat — though mine doesn’t shed much — I now clean even under the bed, which I used to be too lazy to do, and everywhere else. It has saved me time, and now I even have two pets so my Sardelas can keep company with Skoupardela, as ChatGPT suggested as a name. These things make our lives easier, buy it! (I’ll just say you shouldn’t have things and little trinkets on the floor; with care, etc., you will be fully satisfied!)
I have had it for 1.5 years and I can say that it does a satisfactory job. Of course, this alone is not enough to keep the house completely clean, but for a quick solution it is very good.
We got it because we have three little cats and when it’s that time of year they shed... That’s nature.
So we got Litsa (Doula, Doulitsa) at the end of May and guys, she does the job, Litsa!!! We use her only as a vacuum; personally I don’t consider dragging a wet cloth across the floor to be mopping. You can’t imagine what she picked up after two or three times she ran around the house!!! She really made things much easier for us. She maintains it perfectly. Once a week a Swiffer and a mop and the house looks beautiful. It takes about one minute per square meter on average. Faster if it’s an open space, a little slower when it’s a dining room with chairs etc., where it struggles a bit. Also with the curtains it takes a beating and doesn’t really get close, but no big deal, we gather them up/raise them and everything is fine. We’ll see in the winter with the rugs too. I don’t expect anything amazing, but so far Litsa has convinced me.
The first mapping was quick ~15'. The Wi‑Fi connection was super easy. As for scheduling/cleaning, everything is done quickly and simply through the app on the phone.
I was never a fan, but with Litsa I changed my mind, guys. At this price I don’t know what to say... Don’t even think about it... go for it and you won’t regret it.
4/5 only for the mopping.
Vacuuming is fine, I don't know about homes, but for professional spaces it's top-notch.
As others said, it really doesn't get into the corners, but you say okay, it's round and not square. Also, the mopping is indeed a bit of a mess, but I've only tried it with water and not cleaner. Overall, yes.
Amazing! It does a very good job! This is the first time I bought a robot vacuum and the result is amazing! It picks up everything, goes everywhere! And the mopping is very decent too!
Very good, I use it every night and it works for both sweeping and mopping, without any problem. There is no need to spend more money, after all we don't know how long their batteries last.
For so long I was saying, come on now, robotic and nonsense, but in the end I got it and I wonder why I hadn’t made this purchase all this time. You give the house a general vacuum and mop, and then every day you put the robot on and it simply makes life easier for you. Obviously it does not replace the human hand, it just keeps the house clean for at least a month. Also, I saw a friend saying that it does not connect to 5G, that is not true, I connected it normally. VfM purchase then. I see you are asking about spare parts for the vacuum. We bought from 4robot.gr
