With the purchase of the FOSI ZD3, the above changed to PC - USB (I recommend drivers) - FOSI ZD3 in bypass mode.
So the result I judge does not correspond exclusively to the VENTIO DAC – FOSI ZD3 DAC relationship, but also to the signal path relationship.
My conclusion with the FOSI ZD3: wider soundstage, greater clarity in the mid frequencies, tighter and more solid bass.
Especially in the acoustic FLAC/WASAPI version there is a very big difference. I would say that overall, from before to after, the system improved audibly by at least 20-25%.
Bluetooth is very convenient; you can listen to music from a tablet/mobile phone seamlessly (sonically, it seems to me that the quality via PC/USB is clearly superior).
I was very satisfied and would recommend it without hesitation.
