Swamp Ash Body & Bolt-On Construction

The body of the PRS SE Swamp Ash Special is made from swamp ash, a wood renowned for its acoustic clarity, delivering clear highs, articulate mids, and a dynamic response. The bolt-on maple neck adds attack and brightness to the sound, while the transparent Charcoal finish highlights the wood’s natural grain.

Vintage Pattern Neck & Maple Fingerboard

The maple neck is shaped to PRS’s Pattern Vintage profile, offering a slightly asymmetrical, ergonomic feel that makes it easy to position your hand comfortably. The maple fingerboard features 22 frets, the classic 25-inch scale length, and iconic PRS Birds inlays, providing a smooth playing surface and a fast feel.

Versatile HSH Pickup Configuration & Electronics

The guitar is equipped with a specialized HSH pickup configuration: two PRS 85/15 "S" humbuckers in the outer positions and a PRS AS-01 Single-Coil (Alnico/Steel) in the middle position. With the 3-way pickup selector and Push/Pull tone control, you can engage the middle pickup alongside the humbuckers or split their coils, giving you a total of 6 tonal configurations ranging from classic humbucking tones to clear single-coil sounds.

PRS Tremolo Bridge & Tuning Stability

The patented PRS Patented Tremolo (Molded) system offers smooth pitch variation with precise return to zero. Combined with PRS-designed tuning pegs, it ensures tuning stability and optimal transfer of vibrations to the instrument’s body.
