The magnet has very good attraction.
The hook is one-way unlike a simple clip for a large/heavy phone (let alone with a case). Metal hook is an additional positive. An older option with a plastic hook, after a while the hook bent.
Mechanism that tightens the hook so it doesn't come off.
The ball that holds the phone also tightens sufficiently. Personally, I have it a bit looser so I can rotate it vertically or horizontally.
The only issue compared to older options, I would like a slightly larger range of motion on the ball. It could tilt a bit more to the side, so it is more vertical to the guide. Otherwise, it has reflections. But this is a detail of a detail.
As for charging, generally I don't keep it charging permanently, but whenever needed it charged sufficiently.
