Atwood Rope Mfg 550 Paracord has seven inner strands encased in a nylon sheath and is approximately 30 m long. It has a tensile strength of 250 kg and is resistant to moisture, rust and UV radiation.
The inner strands can be used as thin cords for building a shelter or repairing outdoor equipment, as well as for small jobs around the home or garage. It is not suitable for use as personal protective equipment or for lifting loads.
