The playwriter Helen Jerome creates an exciting stage adaptation of Charlotte Brontë's novel of the same name.
The young Jane Eyre arrives at Thornfield, the estate of the melancholy Rochester, as the new governess. Rochester, due to the tragedy that befell him in life, lives in isolation from everyone, secretly hiding the existence of his mad wife, and has become bitter, sarcastic, and distant.
The interactions and confrontations between their lively and compatible minds lead to love and plans for marriage. However, when Rochester's secret is revealed, Jane is forced to leave Thornfield.
On her return, she finds the manor changed by yet another tragedy, and Rochester finally free.
