The amaryllis bulb is sold per piece. The impressive shiny flowers of the amaryllis open on their long stems and capture the gaze.
If you purchase bulbs that are not already potted, select a container with drainage holes, with a diameter 3-5 centimeters larger than the size of the bulb. Use soil consisting of equal parts clayey fertile soil, peat, and perlite or sand.
Plant the bulb in the soil so that one third of the bulb's height is above the soil. After planting, water well and place the pot in a warm and sunny location.
Blooming scheduling instructions: Decide when you want your amaryllis to bloom. The bulbs should remain in their container for 6 to 12 weeks before the desired blooming date.
