Red Impression Tulip Bulb
- Maximum height: 55 cm
- Sale: bulk, per piece
The tulip is considered a relatively "easy" plant. Planting takes place from early October until the end of November. The hard outer shell is not removed, as it helps protect against pests. The bulb is planted with the tip facing upwards and the broad part downwards. It is covered with soil according to the planting depth and requires watering.
Blooming occurs from March until May, depending on the variety, with a flowering duration of about 15-20 days. To achieve a longer flowering period, bulbs should be planted in a semi-shaded location protected from strong winds.
The most suitable location for planting is in northern areas shielded from the midday sun. Sandy soil is used for the garden, while outdoor soil enriched with pumice is required for pots to provide better drainage.
The tulip bulbs come from the Netherlands and are resistant to winter temperatures. Fertilization contributes to impressive flowering, with the preferred fertilizer being the liquid organic fertilizer POKON.
After flowering, the bulbs continue to need watering and fertilizing for 2-6 weeks after blooming has finished. After the leaves have partially dried, the bulbs are stored in a protected and cool place until the next planting.
