The Apeldoorn's Elite tulip bulb grows up to 55 cm tall. It is sold loose, per piece. The tulip is considered a relatively easy plant to grow. Planting is done from early October to late November. It is important not to remove the hard shell, as it helps in the defense mechanism against pests. The bulb is placed with the tip upwards and the wide part downwards, covered with soil, and watered.

Blooming occurs from March to May, depending on the variety, while the flowering period lasts about 15-20 days.

Some recommendations for a longer flowering period include:

• Planting in a semi-shaded spot and protecting from strong winds, avoiding areas with intense sunlight.
• Separating the bulbs into groups and planting them with a 7-10 day interval.
• Planting bulbs at different depths, with the planting depth equal to three times their height.

The most suitable location is northern-facing or other sheltered spots. Sandy soil is recommended for the garden, which can be enriched with manure or compost for better results. In pots, outdoor soil enriched with pumice is used for good drainage.

After flowering, watering and fertilizing continue for 2-6 weeks. When the plant dries out, the bulb is carefully removed. Storage is necessary in clean sand, peat, or vermiculite in a cool and shady place.
