Initially, anyone looking at this tablet is probably doing so because they want the largest available tablet with an OLED screen. Realistically, its only direct competitor is the iPad Pro 13", so the evaluation inevitably also involves a comparison with that.

Positives:

Very good OLED screen with high refresh rate.
Convenient and lightweight stylus.
Extremely slim design.
Good battery life and effective battery optimization.
DeX.
Useful shortcuts for the S Pen.
Ideal size and aspect ratio for multitasking with two windows.

Negatives:

There are quite a few bugs and freezes. This is a general problem with Android tablets and Samsung is no exception; in some cases, the problems are more than I would expect. Switching between apps is not always smooth and overall it lacks the stability and "fluidity" one finds in flagship phones like the S25 or S26.
It has the worst optical fingerprint reader I have ever used. Additionally, it supports up to 3 fingerprints, while I need 4 (index and thumb from each hand). This would be a smaller issue if face unlock worked properly, but in practice it performs worse than even €150 Xiaomi devices.
The speakers are just satisfactory. When you hold it in your hands, you almost always end up covering one of them, which noticeably distorts the sound.
It does not have vibration (haptic feedback).
The cameras are very basic and similar to those found in tablets costing about a third of the price.
There are no really good accessories that significantly improve the user experience. Even those available are, in my opinion, less practical than the solutions that existed for the S8/S9/S10.
There is quite a bit of bloatware from Samsung and the connection with Windows works much worse and less reliably than advertised.

Given that the only options for large OLED tablets are the S11 Ultra and the iPad Pro 13", I ended up with the Samsung mainly because of the price and the flexibility of Android. With the stylus included in the package, the difference is about €500, which I consider quite significant. As things stand today, I would choose the Samsung again.

For someone who is not particularly concerned about the price difference, the iPad Pro 13" offers an overall smoother and more stable user experience. It has equally excellent hardware, Face ID, LiDAR, a better stylus, better integration with the Apple ecosystem, a significantly faster processor, better cameras, as well as many more and higher quality accessories.

On the other hand, the iPad is noticeably narrower in landscape use, which makes it less convenient for multitasking with two windows. In addition, it offers significantly fewer customization options in many areas and, of course, comes with the well-known Apple restrictions, especially if you are not already using other devices from its ecosystem.

For me, the best price-to-features ratio is clearly found in the S11 Ultra. However, if price is not a factor and someone gives absolute priority to stability, smoothness, and the ecosystem, then the iPad Pro 13" is probably the best choice.

Coming from the excellent S9+, I decided to go up a level and in size. Of course, I expected nothing less from this particular model... screen, speakers, build quality, all top notch. However, there is a big but... it doesn't have vibration!! Personally, I find it unacceptable on Samsung's part, where they sacrificed vibration to make it thinner. I personally didn't know this before I bought it and since vibration is a non-negotiable requirement for me, I have already sold it. Otherwise, it is an excellent device.
