The PoE Gigabit splitter allows connection of PoE devices (such as security IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points) over longer distances beyond 100 meters. By connecting a PoE splitter for every additional 100 meters of cable, the distance can be extended up to 200 meters, depending on the power requirements of the devices (PDs) and the power source. Ethernet and PoE cable runs are limited to 100 meters, but adding a PoE splitter enables exceeding this distance limitation.
