  • Washing: Wash the cast iron cookware by hand. You can use a small amount of soap. If needed, use a scraper to remove stuck food. For stubborn stains, simmer some water for 3-5 minutes and then use the scraper after the pan has cooled.
  • Dry: Dry immediately and carefully with a lint-free cloth or paper towel. If you notice some black residue on your towel, it is just the seasoning and is completely normal.
  • Apply some oil: Apply a thin layer of cooking oil or seasoning spray to the surface of your cookware. Use a paper towel to wipe the surface until no oil residue remains.
