Akyga® AK-EC-14 is a single-phase charger for electric cars with increased charging power. The quality IEC 60309 connector allows the vehicle to be charged with 32 A, offering up to 7.2 kW of power. Thus, the electric car is charged quickly, even if there is no three-phase electrical installation.
The charger allows the current to be adjusted according to the needs and capabilities of the electrical installation. Five current values are available: 6, 10, 16, 20, and 32 A. In this way, it is ensured that the internal charger of the electric car will not consume more than the power supported by the installation.
The AK-EC-14 charger features a 5-meter cable, which includes a practical ControlBox with a built-in LCD screen. Thanks to this, it is possible to adjust the charging power, set the charging duration, and display basic parameters such as: charging current and power, network voltage, total energy consumed by the device, charger temperature, and charging duration.
The Type 2 plug (IEC 62196-2) used in the charger is compatible with most cars manufactured for the European market, such as: Audi A3 e-Tron, BMW i3, BMW i8, Chevrolet Spark, Mercedes B-Class E-Celi, Mercedes S500 PHEV, Mercedes SLS EV, Mercedes Vito E-Cell Van, Porsche Panamera S PHEV, Volkswagen e-Up, Volkswagen e-Golf, Volvo V60 PHEV.
To fully utilize the capabilities of the charger, a 32 A electrical installation and properly selected fuses are required.
