Word Catch is an interesting game that requires players to find a word, which the other players must guess. This game has been around for many years in various versions. Recently, Mattel introduced Snap Shouts, adding another variation.

In this game, players do not need to think of a unique word or phrase, but one that others will try to guess, so everyone can earn points. Here are some key features of Snap Shouts:

• 30 letter cards
• 60-second sand timer
• Answer sheets

Each player (up to 6 players can participate) takes 5 illustrated cards and 5 letter cards. The words received are written on the answer sheets, one per line. Then, all players look at the correct side of the picture cards and try to find words that describe the images. Each card must be described with a different letter from those they have. After writing the five words, the cards are placed face down, with one picture card and one letter card on top.

When all players are ready, the guessing process begins. The youngest player starts and reveals a combination of a letter card and a picture card. Everyone tries to guess which word has been chosen to describe the image. The first player who guesses correctly takes the illustrated card, while the letter card is kept for scoring at the end of the game. If no one guesses the word, no cards are awarded.

The combinations of the five cards can be revealed in any order, but since you only have 60 seconds, you may want to start with the easiest combination and save the harder ones for later. Remember, the goal is for others to guess your words so you can earn points. When time runs out or all five card combinations have been guessed, the turn passes to the next player, who begins revealing their cards.

After all rounds are completed, the player with the highest total score wins Snap Shouts.
