This book explores the perception and ways of shaping the aesthetics of young children within their daily lives, in a student-centered and interactive school environment, primarily through playful practices in the visual arts.
It is the result of action research, with seventeen experiments conducted at a school in Attica, which showed that when children experience art naturally, they develop fully and form deeper aesthetic bonds that contribute to their personality formation. Through community models and sustainable, participatory design, children become active creators and are capable of taking initiatives for the environment and the aesthetics of their everyday lives, interacting dynamically with others, while also developing their social and emotional intelligence.
