Players try to lay down their tiles by matching one of the two numbers shown on each tile. The winner is the first player to lay down all their tiles.
The domino game belongs to the category of highly interesting and exciting entertainment that does not require a large number of players. Therefore, you can play this game even one-on-one with your son or daughter, and it does not lose any of its appeal.
Before starting, all the tiles must be turned with the numbers facing down and shuffled well. After that, each player randomly draws 7 domino tiles from the set and places them in front of them. The first move is made by the player who has the 6-6 tile. If no one has it, the holder of the double 5-5, 4-4, and so on, lays it down and makes the first move. In rare cases, it may turn out that neither player has a double tile in their hand. Then, the player who has the tile with the highest total points can lay it down, making the first move.
The next player adds their own tile to this tile, if they have one with the same number shown on it. If they do not have such a tile, they must draw a domino from the set. If it matches, they lay it down, otherwise, they keep it.
The winner of the game is the player who manages to get rid of all their tiles first, and the other players keep the points shown on their remaining tiles. At the end, the first player to have more than 100 points loses.
Often, a domino game ends a little earlier—when a situation called “fish” occurs on the board. In this case, both players cannot make a move, despite having already used the “market.” In such cases, the participants count their points, but nothing is awarded to the one with the lowest total, and for the second player, the difference between the winner's and loser's points is recorded.
