Movie Details: Guardians of the Galaxy is a 2014 film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. The movie is the tenth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has a sequel – "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" released in 2017. This time, we return to Earth, not to see young Peter Quill as in the beginning of the first movie, but the happy years of his mother's life with Ego, a celestial being with divine status (in parentheses "small" "g," as he calls himself). They are young, happy, and in love. As we already know, the result of that love is Peter himself, the Star-Lord.
