New edition of Astbooks: Construction and Technical Businesses: Tax and Insurance Framework 2025
The construction sector remains a stable pillar of the Greek economy and continues to emerge as a critical driver of growth in 2025 — both theoretically and practically. However, construction companies and the accountants supporting them face significant challenges in their everyday operations. Liquidity management and capital handling are ongoing concerns, especially in infrastructure projects or PPPs, where payment and disbursement delays are common. Uncertainty caused by continuous legislative changes, such as the extension of VAT suspension on newly built properties, new rental tax brackets, and adjustments to depreciation standards, require constant updates and immediate adaptation. Additionally, rising production costs —with more expensive materials, energy, transportation, and wage burdens— directly impact cost calculation. Furthermore, digital transformation and compliance with the myDATA platform introduce new obligations for recording, transparency, and monitoring.
In this evolving and demanding environment, the edition "Construction and Technical Businesses: Tax and Insurance Framework 2025," enriched with two new chapters regarding insurance obligations, aims to serve as a comprehensive reference tool. Its goals are:
- to provide a comprehensive coverage of all legislative changes until 2025, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax, social security obligations, and new tax incentives,
- to equip accountants with more than 200 practical examples that reflect real-world application of the legislation (contracts, project completions, management of unused properties, etc.),
- to offer tools for operational challenges such as liquidity management and tax compliance,
- and to serve as a reliable point of reference in a sector where legislative provisions often change, while practical application determines the outcome.
