The Story of Deddy Bears

Emma, after a childhood disagreement with her parents, decides to take a walk to clear her mind. As she passes by the "Industries," a loud siren makes her stop and look. Workers dressed in protective suits push a container with industrial waste right next to her. After they leave, Emma hears noise from inside. Fearing there might be animals, she opens the lid and calls out to them. Suddenly, some eyes begin to glow and fluffy heads appear. When she helps them out one by one, she notices that they are actually strange stuffed bears, fully awake and watching her. She knows they are different; something from that industry had changed them. One of the bears whispers: "Dead, dead bear," and she immediately knows how to name them. "You are Deddy Bears," she says aloud, and the eight bears smile warmly at her. Without thinking, she puts down her bag, and the bears climb inside. She returns home, the disagreement now forgotten, because she has a mission - to take care of these beloved and strange stuffed bears and find them a home with people who will love them.
