No matter how many times I apply it to my face, regardless of the preparation beforehand, I end up feeling a very intense burning/stinging sensation. Especially if I apply the Effaclar Duo moisturizer on top, even though it's from the same line, the stinging becomes even more intense. It seems strange to me because I have tried many products from the line and I didn't have any issues

First time I applied it, I immediately felt a burning sensation on my face and initially ignored it. As soon as I applied moisturizer, the burning became more intense until I finally splashed plenty of water on my face and calmed down. I have oily skin prone to acne, just as this product states. I don't know if you're supposed to feel this burning sensation, but I was quite scared and didn't use it again! The smell of alcohol is indeed very strong, and combined with the burning sensation, it felt like I had applied alcohol for the fireplace! I wouldn't buy it again and it's definitely one of those things I wouldn't recommend to others and I don't trust at all! Don't risk it!

In combination with the cream and foaming cleansing gel from the series, it has saved me. It is intended for acne-prone or oily skin with pores because the presence of alcohol is quite strong.

It does what it promises and doesn't smell too strongly of alcohol. Ideal for daily use on skin prone to black spots or oiliness, but for dry and sensitive skin, I would recommend using it every other night. After cleansing, it is ideal as a gentle exfoliating product or before applying a mask.

Oily skin, acne-prone skin, normal or combination skin, this lotion is for us.
It doesn't just cleanse.
It also helps the skin's immune system.

I have been buying it for years. Very good product and helps with pores. The only downside is the alcohol sensation.

I have combination skin and in combination with the soap from the series, I immediately felt the difference in my skin. It must be combined with a moisturizer.

It is a good lotion that can be used in combination with the facial cleanser. I do not consider it 100% necessary, however, I would choose to buy it again. It has a strong alcohol scent as mentioned in the other reviews, as it is one of its main ingredients, along with water and glycerin. If you have sensitive skin, it may not be the best choice. Even on my extremely oily skin, I do not like the idea of using alcohol-based products frequently. However, it has helped me quite a bit, especially during times of excess oiliness and acne.

Strong lotion for cleansing, it did a very good job on my oily skin! The negative aspect is the strong smell of alcohol...

The worst thing I have tried in a lotion.
It's like putting pure alcohol on your face, I don't know what quantity it has inside but it's awful, really. Obviously, with so much alcohol, it dries everything out and in the long run, it causes aging on the face. Not to mention that it made my face red after 3 days. 10 euros wasted! Stay away!

The lotion is good up to a point.. It didn't do the job for me. Due to my very oily skin, I didn't see a big difference. I have tried even stronger lotions that gave a deep cleansing sensation. I don't know if I would buy it again...

The only reason I don't give it 5 out of 5 stars is because it dehydrates the skin after use. The truth is, it needs moisturizer afterwards. I use it right after cleansing (same brand gel). I have acne-prone skin and it helps a lot with both cleansing and blackheads on the nose. I recommend it.
Update: After two or three more bottles, my opinion has changed. I tried similar products from another well-known brand, specifically for acne. Only this one completely removes oiliness. Girls, go for it...

Indeed, I saw a difference. The pores did not shrink, but it cleans them and they do not look unsightly. I use it when I come home after removing my makeup.

It is for oily sensitive skin with acne tendency, however it deeply cleanses the skin from blemishes and impurities. It just needs a good moisturization afterwards to avoid dryness feeling. Neutral scent so it does not cause allergies. Excellent product, I have been using it for years.

It significantly reduces oiliness immediately after use and leaves a feeling of cleanliness. I use it together with the corresponding moisturizer and I am very satisfied.

In my own skin, which has acne and oiliness, it does an amazing job. In combination with the soap and creams (I apply the transparent one at night and the colored one in the morning as makeup) from the series, I have seen a significant difference!

It is the best product I have tried for oily skin prone to acne. I have tried the 3-step system from a well-known company, but I consider the la roche posay Effaclar range to be the most effective. I cleared up in one week, no more breakouts, and my skin is smooth and fresh. Be careful, it may cause slight irritation at first, but that happens until your skin gets used to it. Very satisfied
