Description

Forest honey is produced by the monks here at Mount Athos and is collected from the rich forests of the area, where pine, oak, and fir trees dominate. It is a honey with a dark color and thick texture.

The composition of forest honey includes:

  • Low sugar content
  • High concentration of minerals and trace elements
  • Antioxidants

Forest honey helps strengthen the immune system, provides natural energy, and has strong antibacterial properties. Due to its slow crystallization, it lasts longer and is ideal for daily consumption, for beverages, spreading, or cooking.

Packaged in 1kg containers. Note: Forest honey crystallizes naturally, as crystallization is characteristic of pure, unprocessed honey. To liquefy it, place the jar in warm water (40°C) stirring occasionally or use a bain-marie.
