The final act in the drama of the uprooting of Hellenism from Cappadocia and Elmer's separation from Sevasti now unfolds far from Cappadocia, in Greece, which welcomes the wave of refugees after the Treaty of Lausanne, in the refugee neighborhoods of Thessaloniki and in New York City. There, the heroes try to forget the horror and continue their lives, bequeathing to their descendants dreams that are difficult, but not unattainable.

At the same time, we follow the wanderings of Omer, a Muslim from Western Macedonia, who makes the reverse journey under the same tragic circumstances and ends up in Cappadocia. The final part of the epic trilogy about the population exchange, the unforgettable homelands, the people crushed in the cogs of History, those who believed in ideals, and those who fought for their personal happiness.
