    The visual they offer is very close to the human eye and is often called "normal". They provide a natural result with minimal distortions and their focal distance is usually 40-55mm in full frame, 25-40mm in crop frame, and 80-100mm in medium format.

  • Item

    Lenses with variable optical (zoom) that remain equally bright (same maximum aperture value) throughout the entire focal distance range they offer. Usually significantly more expensive than their variable aperture counterparts.

    Fixed Focal Length

    Lenses with fixed optics are usually of higher quality than a corresponding zoom lens at the same focal distance. They are also called "fixed" or "prime" lenses.
