  • Durable construction: High resistance to harsh conditions.

The lens weighs only 1.2 pounds and is 4.5" long when not extended, making it easily portable. It includes a focus mode switch and zoom lock to prevent uncontrolled extension due to weight pressure. The lock can be released via the zoom operation, ensuring you never miss a shot.

The water- and oil-repellent coating on the front surface of the lens makes it suitable for shooting in tough outdoor conditions, while the dust- and splash-resistant design protects the internal elements.

The innovative optical design includes four aspherical elements, three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements, and one F Low Dispersion (FLD) element, ensuring sharpness across the entire zoom and aperture range. It consists of a total of 18 elements in 14 groups as well as a 9-blade rounded diaphragm, maintaining high optical accuracy.

It is based on advanced simulation technology to optimize backlight resistance, reducing potential lens flare and ghosting. The HLA focusing system (High-response Linear Actuator) enables fast and silent autofocus, ensuring focus is maintained throughout the zoom range.
