The Sony FE 100mm f/2.8 Macro GM OSS is the first macro lens in the G Master series to offer magnification of up to 1.4x on its own, and up to 2.8x when used with an optional teleconverter. Designed to reveal the finest textures and details, it combines exceptional resolution with the smooth bokeh produced by its 11-blade aperture. It features four XD linear motors for fast, quiet autofocus, dedicated macro OSS optical image stabilization, and comprehensive dust and moisture resistance for demanding outdoor photography.

Top 1.4x Magnification & Teleconverters

The lens surpasses the traditional 1:1 limit, offering a standalone magnification of 1.4x and a minimum focusing distance of 0.26m. Combined with an optional teleconverter, magnification can reach up to 2.8x, allowing you to capture invisible details with an excellent working distance.

G Master Optical Quality & Bokeh

The advanced optical structure includes two XA (extreme aspherical) elements, two ED elements and a Nano AR Coating II. The circular 11-blade aperture with an F2.8 maximum aperture creates the signature smooth bokeh of the G Master series without color fringing.

Optimized OSS Stabilization

It features OSS optical image stabilization, specially tuned for the demands of macro photography. The new system effectively compensates for angular, shift and axial movements, while compatible camera bodies support Active Mode for video and still images.

Four XD Linear Motors for AF

Equipped with four XD (Extreme Dynamic) motors, the lens delivers up to 1.9x faster focusing. Its quiet drive ensures precise tracking of fast-moving subjects and is fully compatible with burst shooting at up to 120 fps.

Macro Ergonomics & Durability

It features a switch ring for selecting between AF/MF and FULL MF, with distance scales, as well as Direct Manual Focus DMF. The construction includes silicone seals for dust and moisture resistance, while the front element has a fluorine coating.
