Historical Information and Plant Morphology: Nettle (Urtica dioica) is a perennial plant found worldwide, especially in temperate regions. Its leaves are covered with fine hairs containing histamine, which causes itching when in contact with the skin. In traditional medicine, nettle has been used since ancient times as a tonic and blood purifier.
