The package contains 60 gr. of leaves from the plant, also known as Alexandrian leaves, Cassia, or Egyptian leaves. Alexandrian leaves (Senna alexandrina) are known for their strong laxative effect, with usage recorded in ancient Egyptian texts and Ayurvedic medicine.
Cassia, a well-known medicinal herb, is mainly endemic to Egypt and regions with a warm climate. These leaves contain sennosides (senna glycosides), which stimulate bowel motility and facilitate normal stool passage, helping to relieve constipation.
Usage: 1 tablespoon of crushed Alexandrian leaves is steeped with 1 glass of boiling water in a covered container, left for 1–2 hours, and strained before use. Suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.
