Since young children find it difficult to get on a balance bike on their own, we recommend starting with a tricycle and then converting it into a two-wheeled balance bike without pedals.
Initially, around the age of one, the child will start with the tricycle, practice sitting on the saddle, pushing the bike forward with their feet, and then – whenever the parent and child feel that the child is ready – using the same bike and saddle, the child will learn to balance.
This allows the child to start with a bike early, not to be afraid of it, to strengthen their legs, and then, at around 3 years old, to master balance.
