In the game's Showdown mode, up to four players face off against each other, using card-based strategies and creative skills to achieve victory.

The "Wordy" mini-games require you to use the best item or character from Scribblenauts' extensive dictionary, with over thirty thousand words, to outwit your opponent. The action-oriented "Speedy" mini-games reward the player who completes a specific challenge first.

Mini-games can be played solo. The Versus mode allows nonstop fun with games, mixing players game after game.

The Sandbox mode, the popular creative playground of the Scribblenauts series, allows one or two players to solve goals in eight new levels by summoning any object. Players can also unleash their imagination by summoning any object they can think of and see how they interact in unpredictable ways.

Adding to the family fun, players can choose or design their own original Scribblenaut to represent them throughout the game, all designed in the classic artistic style. The Scribblenaut can be further personalized with unique clothing and eccentric accessories, earning Starites and completing achievements.
