• Advantages: Unmatched durability over time and on hard surfaces (e.g. dry pitches, artificial turf). The seams are deeper, which provides better grip for the goalkeeper.
• Disadvantages: Due to the small gaps in the stitching, they absorb more water on a wet pitch compared to thermally bonded ones, causing them to become heavier.
