The Alcoalert Smart digital alcohol tester measures alcohol concentration in exhaled breath and works independently or with an optional connection to an app for Android and iOS. The platinum electrochemical sensor responds to ethyl alcohol, while the built-in airflow sensor monitors the breath sample. A measurement takes 5 seconds, and the device is ready to use in 5 seconds.

The backlit four-digit LCD and three-colour LED display the readings. The device can automatically store the 99 most recent measurements and lets you set a personalised alarm limit and measurement unit. It features automatic shut-off, a low-battery indicator, and alerts for measurement or calibration errors. Calibration is required every 6 months or after 1,000 measurements, whichever comes first.
