Mercola Bondflex windshield adhesive is a one-component polyurethane sealant for bonding, sealing and securing automotive windshields. It can be applied to windshields with a black ceramic frit without primer, as it contains an adhesion promoter. It has been tested in accordance with FMVSS 212 for a minimum safe drive-away time of 1 hour.
It is also used for elastic structural bonding of similar and dissimilar substrates in automotive applications, as well as in industrial and marine applications where mechanical strength is required. Windshields without a ceramic coating require a primer to protect the adhesive from ultraviolet radiation.
