The Ermenrich Zing ST40 is a device for testing the correct wiring of a socket. It features a special button for testing the performance of the RCD (Residual Current Device / Earth leakage circuit breaker).

When connected to a socket, the device provides seven indications with three LED lights corresponding to each:

• Correct wiring (CORRECT)
• Open ground (OPEN GROUND)
• Open neutral (OPEN NEUTRAL)
• Open live conductor (OPEN LIVE)
• Live and ground reversed (LIVE/GRD REVERSE)
• Live and neutral reversed (LIVE/NEU REVERSE)
• Live and ground reversed and missing ground (LIVE/GRD REVERSE, MISSING GRD)

The Ermenrich Zing ST40 is ideal for checking electrical installation work on a construction site, as well as for assessing the condition of sockets at home. It features a built-in illuminated screen that displays the measured voltage and does not require a power supply.
