The Ultegra CL800 disc rotors from Shimano have been developed to prevent deformation caused by heat. This results in reliable and better-controlled braking performance with reduced noise. The weight remains low compared to the previous version.

Shimano's Ice-Tech cooling technology ensures excellent heat dissipation and consistent braking performance even on long and steep descents. The disc rotors feature a three-layer sandwich construction. Their stainless steel surfaces with an aluminum core offer significant improvement in heat dissipation, allowing a temperature reduction of about 100 °C. Additionally, the aluminum FREEZA spider arms reduce the system temperature by approximately 50 °C due to their increased surface area. Improved heat dissipation allows the installation of smaller-than-usual rotors, as well as a significant extension of brake pad life.

The disc rotors are compatible with Center-Lock installation, which ensures fast and easy fitting, providing secure support and a clean, compact appearance.
