Squat bar (also known as safety bar) weight bar by Viking. A bar of this type is suitable for deep squats with weights and usually has handles at the shoulder area for a more comfortable grip. It accepts weight plates with an inner diameter (hole in the center of the weight) of 50mm. All bars that accept plates with a diameter of 50mm are classified as Olympic-type bars. They are more durable than conventional bars and are also suitable for weightlifters.
