The finish of the markers is matte, although some reports, due to the nature of the pigments, may be somewhat satin. Regardless of the preferred finish, the markers can be covered with any type of varnish without fear of damaging the paint. The use of white primer before painting with Playmarkers is recommended to achieve the best results.
